{"id":1181,"date":"2025-07-24T07:31:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T07:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akrc.agasticollege.edu.in\/?p=1181"},"modified":"2025-07-24T07:31:59","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T07:31:59","slug":"library-orientation-tybsc-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/akrc.agasticollege.edu.in\/?p=1181","title":{"rendered":"Library Orientation TYBSc 2025-26"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Agasti Knowledge Resource Centre was delighted to host <strong>Dr. Rahul Waghmare<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Botany, who visited the library <strong>yesterday<\/strong> along with the <strong>TYBSc Botany students<\/strong> to participate in a specially organized <strong>library orientation programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Waghmare initiated the session by introducing the students to a range of <strong>essential reference books and academic reading materials<\/strong> available in the library that are particularly useful for studies in <strong>Botany and allied subjects<\/strong>. His interaction provided valuable academic direction and encouraged students to utilize library resources for their coursework and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Librarian Mr. Bachhav<\/strong> conducted a detailed demonstration covering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Library OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)<\/strong> for locating print resources,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to <strong>N-LIST<\/strong> and <strong>DELNET<\/strong> for e-resources and inter-library loan facilities,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open Access platforms such as the <strong>NDLI (National Digital Library of India)<\/strong>, <strong>Shodhganga<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subject-specific resources like <strong>Open Access Journals<\/strong> from the <strong>Indian Academy of Sciences<\/strong> and <strong>NIScPR (National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, students were informed about the <strong>newly developed library portal<\/strong>, and were guided on how to explore academic content relevant to their discipline.
